Ajax Cape Town. The satelite club plays in the same shirts as Ajax Amsterdam and works closely together with the club from Amsterdam. The unexperienced  ‘Urban Warriors’ just missed the championships in 2008 and where 'average'in 2009. 
Bafana Bafana is the nickname of the South African soccer team. The name was first heard during the tournament of the Africa Cup which they won in 1996. It means 'the boys' and there for ex-president Mbeki asked the South Africans to come up with another nickname because the age focus of the team. 
 
Benni McCarty is normally the striker of Bafana Bafana but he was not selected for the Federation Cup by the Brasilian head coach Santana. He plays in the UK with Blackburn Rovers.
Carlos Pareira was untill 2008 the coach of Bafana Bafana. The coach who made Brasil World Champion resigned because of private reasons but stille advices Joel Santana who is the current coach. He came from Flamengo to South Africa but is considered a lesser coach. 
Kaizer Chiefs is the name of the bog and popular club from Soweto. The ‘Amakhozi’ have supporters in whole of South Africa and was founded in 1970 by Kaiiser Motaung, a legendary South African player.
Kermit Erasmus is one of the biggest talents of South Africa and played at the age of 17 his first match in the South African team. He plays in Rotterdam with Feyenoord.  
Mamelodi Sundowns from Pretoria is competing with the two biggest clubs from Soweto during the last years regarding succes and popularity. The club owned by the rich miner Patrice Motsepe won 5 times in the history of the PSL the title.
Ladumaaaa commentaters shout when a goal is being scored. It means something like: 'here comes the thunder' in the Zulu language.
 
Orlando Pirates is the other big club from Soweto and the big rival of the Chiefs. 'The Buccaneers' are also very popular in South Africa. They won as only South African club the African version of the 'Campions League'. Dutchman Ruud Krol is the trainer.
 
Premier Soccer League (PSL) is the highest division of the South African soccer association. Since 2007 more than 1,6 billion Rand was paid for the soccer rights which makes the league interesting for business and sponsors. Thanks to the organisation of the World Cup most professionall soccer teams end up with a brand new stadium.
Soweto Derby is the name of the game between the two biggest clubs of South Africa: Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs. 
Steven Pienaar is normally the 'engine' in the midfield of Bafana Bafana. After Ajax and Borusia Dortmund he plays for Everton now.
SuperSport United is the current champion of South Africa. The team does also very well in 2009.
Teko Modise of the Orlando Pirates is this season the most exiting player in the PSL. He will probably move into the Premier League after this season.
 
Vuvuzela is the name of the brightly colored trompet which is use by almost every South African soccer fan. All the trompets together sound like a stampede of Elephants. You can not miss them during the World Cup.  
Zuma is not only the name of the new president of South Africa but also the name of the new talented striker of Bafana Bafana.
